Yanco Set Stall At PLMA’s 2016 Private Label Trade Show

Yanco continues to strengthen its presence stateside by attending the largest white label exhibition to be held in the US.
Launched and managed by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), this year’s Private Label Trade Show was held in Chicago featuring a delegation of senior representatives from leading insecticide solution provider, Yanco.
 
With vast scope and potential in the American market, and recent concerns regarding outbreaks of Zika, as well as a huge outdoor market, mosquito infection is a huge concern across the country.
 
Kevin Riozzi, Managing Director at Yanco commented: “In addition to the nuisance caused, there are significant issues and concerns with risk of infection transmitted through mosquitoes.  Our decision to take part in this white label event is an incredibly important part of our bid to penetrate the American market where US based businesses are able to package our products and sell them under their own brand through various outlets.

Private label market share has reached nearly 25% of unit sales in the US and is expanding faster than national brands. Retailers coast-to-coast have committed themselves to an aggressive store brands strategy while specialty chains are using their own brands to create shopper loyalty unheard of only a few years ago.
 
Buyers from every channel attended the 2016 show including brand owners, supermarkets, superstores, drug chains, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, online retailers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, discounters, and even military exchanges.
 
Kevin added: “There was a really broad audience at the exhibition representing various retail platforms, many of whom were interested in our business and most importantly, our products.”
